Spidermans: The Rhino

Here's a 1-2 hour concept of the rhino.  Spiderman has the best villains(better than batman).  So why not?

Dragon

It would almost be impossible to fight a dragon.  This little guy has arrows cause, what else can you do?  Seriously you would need a balista and an army to bring a dragon down, but I guess he wants to be a hero.  This is a Gold dragon?  I don't know, just made it up.

LUUUDDDOO

Hey remember that Ludo I drew a little while ago?  I decided to paint him some more on my lunch break.  It was pretty fun.  the colors turned out pretty good.  I wish I had a legit Ludo costume for Halloween, but no...  Here's that Labyrinth drawing.

Goblin Man

I started making this Guy made out of wood, but time fell short.  So Here's a goblin and like the rest of these drawings it was about 1 hour 30 minutes.

Ludo

Still working on concept design stuff, but this one is a little familiar.  It's a different approach to Ludo, the coolest monster ever.  I started drawing it in the computer, which after about 5 minutes I was like this looks like crap, but I can work with it.  So I drew it really quick, and did some digital stuff to it.  Here it is.

2 in 2

I tried to make two characters in 2 hours...It's hard.  Here's what I got.  I started of with silhouettes, because I had no idea what to draw, and I feel like it kind of shows.  I was figuring it out as I went.

Lion Old

I wish I could draw super fast, but I'm sure that will come in the future.  Here's my latest drawing.  It was about an hour and a half.  I drew it while watching the ghost and the darkness.  That movie is awesome.  Watch it and look at my drawing at the same time!

Teen Titans Go!

So seeing how I'm a huge nerd, here's a little design of Raven from Teen Titans.  This was about 2 hours and it seemed like the majority of the drawing came out in the last 5 minutes.  I didn't draw Robin, because he sucks.

Another Concept Drawing

I'm glad I'm able to keep up with these.  They're starting to look a lot better.  Here's one that I started awhile ago.  I wanted to do something cool with it, but just never got around to it until now.  The whole less than 2 hours thing is nice too.  I'm averaging about 1.5 hours on these.  It's helping me learn the medium a lot better.

Concept drawings

Hey!  They're starting to look better.  Fancy that.  This one was fun to do.  I started from a silhouette because I didn't know what to do at first.  What's she looking for?  I wish I had time to do more of the armor, but I had to opt out for the quicker route.  I can always put armor on top later.

Concept Drawing #2

So things are kind of looking better..... I wanted to draw a blob guy, but he turned out really yellow... again these are all no more than 2 hours, so don't judge me!

Concept drawings

So I've decided to do a concept drawing everyday.  In order to accomplish this it needs to be 1-2 hours.  That's all the time I have so I can still work on other things. Unfortunately, they don't look so hot, so just bare with me and I'll get better.  Here's the first one.

Inktober

So I started to do a thing called "Inktober".  Basically it's where you have an ink drawing a day for the whole month of October.  I was like, yeah, cool, I'll do that.  I started with a sweet fox stamp, and everything afterwards I just didn't have my heart in it.  I started producing crappy work...Which I will share with you...  However the more I thought about it, the more I realized that my time could be better spent doing other things, so starting today I'm making a 1-2 hour concept design a day.  If I don't have a time limit on it, I'll never have time to work on other personal projects, so hopefully they get better and I get faster over time.  The ink drawings:

SLC Comic Con Costumes in Watercolour

There were some pretty sweet costumes over at the Salt Lake City Comic Con.  I think it's rad that some people would go all out.  Here's a sweet costume from Donnie Darko.

Comic Con Attendees

So for my practice paintings, I've been drawing people that I saw at the Salt Lake comic con.  I'll be posting another later this week.  If you were there, hopefully you saw these people.

website stuff

I'm undergoing a new website, which is taking a lot more time then I thought it would.  It's a new thing to me, and I would like it too look professional.  So I thought I would have a little fun with it and I made little icons.  They'll probably be too small for anyone to appreciate them, but hey, I enjoyed doing it.  So here are some watercolor buttons. Feel free to pin them and reference how awesome I am.

red fox watercolor

Here's a little process i did for a fox watercolor painting.  Usually I just start out with doodles, with the result of my sketchbook looking like a 5th graders.  It's always a little emba
rrasing when someone asks to see my sketchbook and then they give me a pity, "oh, yeah that's pretty good...I guess..."  I work out ideas while doodling though.  Once i find an idea I like i do some thumbnails and a finished drawing.  I'll work on the finished drawing in the computer and once I get what I want I paint it out with watercolor.  so it's a kind of long process.  Here it is:
