Dogs playing

Awhile ago my brother and I drove to California.  While driving we were listening to the podcast A.I.D. (Adventures in Design)  and a funny dog story came up.  For anyone who wants to hear it, it's episode 11.   I decided that it would be awesome to Illustrate that dog story, and show Billy and Mark.  So here it is:

This is for Billy and Mark.

Watercolor portraits

I'm still working on developing a style and with the time I have it's kind of difficult.  I'm digging these watercolor portraits and studies that I'm doing, and they're all working out pretty well.  I'm up for critiques.  I'm also up for commissions.  You can just leave a comment if you want me to do an art piece for you.  Anyway, here's the new watercolor Illustration:

New style

So I've just started exploring this new style of painting.  These are my first pieces and I feel like I can get a lot better from here so here they are:

I think I'm going to explore this  style for awhile.  Any feedback would be great!  Also some good news, I just sold a commission yesterday, and got a new commission too.  Business is slowly picking up!

Watercolor painting

The more I paint with watercolor the more problems I see with my own art.  It seems like I need to get used to painting again.  This Illustration took me a while.  Does anyone know what red head this is?

Watercolor portrait

My friend recently had a baby, so I thought I would do a portrait of her.  I totally ripped it off one of her photographs, so credit to her for taking the photo.  If your interested in looking at  her photography, here is a link to her tumblr account:      http://liannamichelle.tumblr.com/

More practice paintings

Its been hard finding work after I graduated.  I mostly take very low paying jobs here and there.  It's all appreciated, but I'm trying to find a steady job.  It seems like all I can do are practice with different mediums and just keep moving forward.  Here are some drawings/ paintings I've done the past couple days:
