Changes

I love digital media. I like working with illustrator specifically. I like how I can change something so quickly. I love screen printing as well. Here are two different color schemes I used for a Gogol Bordello poster that I made. The first are normal colors, and the second is kind of a Japanese color scheme I was thinking of. Gogol Bordello has so many different members of different nationality in their band, and I thought of how I would love to print this with so many different colors.

Also, if you ever get the chance to see Gogol Bordello live, TAKE IT! It is like a circus! They were so entertaining and had such an awesome stage presence!

Immigrant Punk

Gypsy punk anyone? For those of you who watch independant films, you may recognize Eugene Hutz from Everything is Illuminated or even that movie that Madonna directed, what was it called, Filth and Wisdom? For the rest of you, he's the lead singer of Gogol Bordello.

Gogol Bordello is a band from New York with a multi-ethnic background. Eugene himself comes from Ukraine. He and his family left Ukraine after hearing of the Chernobyl meltdown, which is the worst nuclear disaster in history. He spent several years in Eastern Europe in refugee camps. Through that he gained quite an incredible background in music. Check them out. You won't regret it.
