Sesame Street Art

I think it's obvious that Sesame Street has been an influence on me and I always wondered what the characters did when we weren't watching.  I of course have my suspicions...

Hour Oil paintings

So I've started to concentrate on Oil paints and these are some hour long studies I've been doing.  My goal is to work faster so I  have to do it in an hour or less.  I used blueblack, transparent earth red, and white.

There are some things that I can't resist drawing.  The list includes Musicians, frizzy hair, and a third reason.  Jen has all of those.  I saw her in a concert and was hooked.  I highly recommend listening to her (click here)

Father of the Sea

When traveling by sea sailors would pray to Poseidon for a safe journey. If they didn't give him a sufficient sacrifice than they wouldn't reach their destination.

I've been playing with different styles for a while. I kinda like this more messy look. What do you guys think?
