GUEST BLOG

Hey Everyone, Toast asked if I’d be interested in doing a guest blog, to which I enthusiastically replied, YES! I’d like to thank Toast for this great opportunity. I really admire and enjoy his work. His Donatello painting is one of my favorites!

I have had a love for drawing for a long time. The first drawing that I can remember doing was of He-man when I was in kindergarten. I was amazed that I could make pictures of my favorite superheroes. From there on I have always had a pencil in my hand and have rarely missed a day when I haven’t sketched something.

Currently I am studying illustration at UVU with Toast and many other amazing artists. I love the more humorous side of art. My sketchbooks are usually filled with drawings of monsters, aliens, and caricatures of people. When I’m finished with my degree I hope to work in animation, gaming or anywhere that will pay me to create art.

Here’s a sketch that I drew for Toast. It was made using red col-erase pencil, ink and marker on smooth Bristol. Toast, I’ll get this to you next time that I see you.

I am not ashamed

For all you narwhal seekers, who happen to like Mucha this is the thing for you.  Oh, and I'm riding naked on one. Yeah, I'm riding on the unicorn of the sea.  Jealous?  Your sarcastic "No" isn't fooling anyone.  You ARE jealous, and that's just pathetic.   But if you want to go Narwhal riding I can take you.  Clothes aren't permitted. 

More New Stuff

These things are yet to be finished, but I thought I'd share them with you anyway.  Owls.  A LOT of owls.  Owls upon owls upon owls.  I've wanted to do this piece for a long time.  I mean, seriously, who doesn't love owls?  the only thing that compares are ostrich's.  I'm going to add some shading in there, which will give a little more interest, and for anyone who wants this as a poster, i can write their product name in the stars as constellation.

Also, here is a color study of my next project.  it's not final yet, but i thought it would be fun to include it.  Plus, who doesn't like nawhals?? ...Seriously who doesn't like narwhals?

Busy past few weeks

Hopefully this makes up for the past couple of times I haven't posted.  The first is a t-shirt design I did for a band, they haven't done anything with it so it's up for grabs.  The second is a poster I finished recently that I'm particularly proud of.  I think that the frame is great, but you guys can be the judge of that.  If you like any of my images, go ahead and share it on your blogs.

If there is one thing I can honestly say that I've studied my entire life, it's X-men. Of course I stopped when it started being stupid, but I still consider myself an expert.  So when my brain asked me to make this drawing, I was like "Heck yeah!  That'd be neat!!"   Any questions?
